My name is Jonathan Lewis and I am running for County Commission District 9. Which includes Westwood, Whitehaven and Walker Holmes. I’m running for County Commission because for over 30 years the same political dynasty has been in office in our district and yet our area has declined. Our schools are failing, no new business/jobs are being created, and the community infrastructure is crumbling. I aim to provide voters with an alternative path in which we work together to create sustainable solutions to our ills instead of working to maintain the status quo

I believe deeply in the promise and potential of our district. In fact I was born and raised in this area. As a John P. Freeman and Westwood High alum, I could have been just another statistic. Instead I worked hard and achieved success. I focused on school and received a scholarship to University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. After graduating with my B.S in Marketing, I came back to serve our community and help others have an opportunity to succeed.
